Three on the Bund announces inaugural THREE Women Talk: Cultural Conversation on Women Living with Intention

Shanghai, China -- On Wednesday, October 27, Three on the Bund will host a THREE Women talk in partnership with the authors of THRIVE entitled “A Cross-Cultural Conversation on Women Living with Intention.”  


The authors of Thrive, Ruth Kuguru, Lisa Blunt Rochester and Alejandra Guzmán have profiled 34 women from 18 different countries who have come to China and redefined individual success. The event will be hosted by Emmy-winning television producer and author, Ms. Yue-Sai Kan, and will begin at 9:00 a.m. on October 27th, 2010, with opening remarks from United States Consul General, Beatrice Camp followed by three panel discussions.  


The first panel, “Whose Life is this Anyway?: Defining Your Own Success” will feature guest speakers US Consul General Beatrice Camp, Founding Executive Director of Roots & Shoots Tori Zwisler, and Ann Yen, Actress, Artist, Producer & Painter.   


The second panel, “More Than the Mrs.: What Will Your Life Story Be?” will be a candid dialogue on societal expectations placed on women and rising above them, with guest speakers Vivienne Shi, Founder of Shi Family Foundation, Mandisa Khumalo, First Lady of South African Consul General, and the Founder of House to Home, Victoria Scott. 


Lastly, the third discussion, “Living with Intention: Turning “Someday” into Today,” will be a practical exchange on making your dreams a reality. The guest speakers are Debi Yohn, Psychologist & Author, Doris Rathgeber, Owner of Body & Soul Medical Clinics, and Ruth Kuguru and Lisa Blunt Rochester — authors of Thrive
